The artistic season of this 2018 of the MIDAC Museum in Belforte del Chienti, opens with the third event of the year which are two exhibitions simultaneously: “Libro, hombre, árbol” solo show of Laura Beckam (Argentina) and “La invención del desierto” solo show of Joaquin Rodriguez (Argentina). The exhibitions, curated by Terra dell’Arte and with the patronage of the Municipality of Belforte del Chienti, will be held in the former church of Saint Sebastian in the historical center of Belforte del Chienti, from Saturday, May 12th to Sunday, June 24th.
Laura Beckman, Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina, 1967, was trained at the Instituto Provincial de Bellas Artes, Santa Rosa, La Pampa, the Centro Regional de Educación Artística (CREAR), Santa Rosa, La Pampa and the Universidad Nacional de La Pampa. For many years she has been working on the art book technique since she was a binder from an adolescent age. The figure of the tree is an integral part of her artistic work and tends to highlight the suspension of his light and ethereal figures.
She has numerous solo and group exhibitions to her credit.
Joaquín Rodríguez, born in Santa Rosa, La Pampa, Argentina in 1962.
Curator of independent artistic projects and for public institutions. He is involved in research projects on historical photography of which he has published several articles. He coordinates and holds workshops on contemporary photography. Its publisher is the “Archivo Latino” agency.
He started very early to work in local newspapers, especially in the newspaper La Arena, then with national media such as the Clarin newspaper and some news agencies. He consider the training in the field of photo journalism is very important for his artistic experience.
He has exhibited in many countries including: Argentina, El Salvador, Bolivia, Peru, Mexico, Cuba and Italy.
